Our Woodland Gods

Although their Kickstarter just ended, “Our Woodland Gods” by Wicked Clever is a cute, cozy, and cultist GM-less TTRPG. Inspired by games like Cult of the Lamb and Animal Crossing, you play as animal villagers who have been going about their days “throwing parties, going fishing, roasting marshmallows, and chanting under the full moon” all while serving their Eldritch deity.

Until your god dies. Then it’s time to find a new one.

Played over three “staves” (or rounds), players will take turns drawing cards, shaping the story, and tending to their village while confronting the horrors in the woods that surround them.

Follow the updates on their Kickstarter and discover other gamed by Wicked Clever!

Friday Afternoon Tea

At the intersection of tabletop gaming, pop culture, and loose-leaf teas sits Friday Afternoon Tea, serving up delicious and thematically flavored teas ethically sourced from around the world.

Friday Afternoon is a small family owned, geeky-themed tea company located in Seattle, Washington. The owner, Friday Elliot (she/her), uses her superpower of synesthesia to craft incredible tastes based off of books, tv shows, astrology, and more!

From their website:

“[Friday’s] unique take on blending stems from a neurological cross-wiring known as Lexical-Gustatory Synesthesia. Due to this trait, Friday experiences language (both spoken and written) and abstract concepts as distinct flavor profiles. In short, she literally tastes words and ideas. This “superpower” allows Friday to create blends with a completely unique approach. With a background in herbal remedies as well as culinary arts and education, she shares her Tea Wizardry with people all over the world.”

With the holidays quickly approaching, their website is already prepping for winter with their new 2023 Tea Advent Calendar!

If you have a tea-drinking nerd in your life, support a small business and stock them up with some Friday Afternoon Tea!
